THURSDAY JULY, 15th : IT IS “RALLYLEGEND 2010” TIME ALREADY: ENTRIES OPEN FOR THE RALLY-EVENT, CENTERED IN THE REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO, SCHEDULED FROM 7th TO 9th OCTOBER. EIGHTH EDITION OF THE RALLY WITH GREAT WORLD CHAMPIONS AND THE MOST IMPORTANT “HISTORICAL CARS”, IN A UNIQUE FRAMEWORK OF SIDE EVENTS AND INITIATIVES. GREAT NEWS AT RALLYLEGEND 2010, AN EXCEPTIONAL EVENT WITH INTERNATIONAL SCOPE, DRAWING INTEREST AND PASSION FROM ALL OVER EUROPE.

Republic of San Marino. Rallylegend is a brand, an idea, a well-known reality appreciated and awaited for by crowds of enthusiasts year after year, an event attracting the high interest of spectators, of the media but above all of drivers and champions from all over Europe.

Here we are, then, with the opening of entries on Thursday, July 15th, right into the atmosphere of the 8th Rallylegend, curious and willing to know what Vito Piarulli, along with the staff of Zeromille have invented this year.
"We are giving shape to many ideas and proposals - explains Piarulli – which we have been developing and collected already from the day after Rallylegend 2009. The intention is to create a race and a series of related events that will leave unforgettable memories to the protagonists and the spectators. Just as we have managed to do, I think, up until now. Many affectionate champions will be present at the start, the first being Miki Biasion, Rallylegend luxury ambassador. But there will also be some "big" names of the World Championship who will participate for the first time. Many are the enthusiastic partners helping in this endeavour: in particular the prestigious main sponsors Magneti Marelli and IWC, which have confirmed their support, and the important new-entry VW. Pirelli, too will be supporter of Rallylegend again.
Rallylegend 2010 unfolds entirely within the territory of the Republic of San Marino and the beating heart is, as a tradition, the Multieventi Sport Domus, with its side stadium.

THE RALLY VILLAGE
A "village" of the rally will be created, which will open on the morning of Thursday, October 7th this year, with a series of daily events, whose schedule will be announced well in advance and in detail. A covered structure will also be built where inedited videos will be shot, special guests and champions will be interviewed, all with scheduled programme and times, so that spectators can plan in time what to watch.
Two main entrances for the audience, where they can access the village and live it thoroughly, there included the fascinating car park inside the stadium.

RALLYLEGEND 2010: THE FORMAT OF THE RALLY
The format of the rally has not substantially changed, given the widespread consent registered in the last edition.
The start of the 8th Rallylegend will be given Friday, October 8th at 19.30, with arrival at around 23.50 with two special stages to be repeated twice.
Leg 2 will start Saturday, October 9th at 11:30, with arrival at around 18.45 and three special stages scheduled, there included an unprecedented special stage about 9 km long.
Gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony will be held on Saturday at 21.00 at the Palace Hotel in San Marino.

CARS RACING AND "LEGEND STARS"
Two different final result charts will be provided for Rallylegend 2010, as far as the competition race is concerned. The first will be dedicated to the Legend (historical cars and expired homologation cars together) without gap-penalty but divided into classes. The other one will reflect the race of the World Rally Cars (ten cars admitted, built before 1999), which were a great success last year.
FIA provisions have banned the use of four-wheel drive Group B cars from competitions. Although not fighting against time, these fascinating and controversial queens will be the stars, along with cars of high historical interest, in "Legend Stars", a sort of fast parade that will run before Rallylegend. Maximum number allowed is 20 units, which will be selected among some models never seen before in Rallylegend, arriving from various European countries.
